Happy May everyone!! Sorry I haven't posted in a few days, its been quite a hectic time around here! May 1st was Beltane for me and my family. For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about, Beltane is a pagan festival where we celebrate the union of the God & Goddess, pray for abundance and fertility throughout the summer and dance the Maypole. Its lots of fun! Also, this year it was the second time Ralph and I were handfasted. Again, for those of you scratching your heads, handfasting is a type of wedding ceremony. Its the literal and figurative "tying" of two people together for a year and a day. No legal stuff, no paperwork, just committing yourself to that one person for a year and a day. If after the time is up and you still want to be together, you get re-handfasted. If not, you can go your separate ways. Again, lots of fun!! Check the bottom of the page for pictures of Ralph and I at Beltane!
In addition to my pagan lifestyle, we have also been doing loads of work around the house. We have started prepping the garden for planting. Which hasn't been easy since the land was fallow for an entire year. Plus since we started composting, its going to be more work to prep the garden, however, in the end it will be worth it. I feel that by starting my garden up, A) I will be saving money on groceries, as the most money is spent on veggies. And B) I can learn to can and preserve so as to continue reaping the benefits all year long. So I am very excited about this, however needless to say I have been VERY busy. Add to that the fact that I have 10 days in a row at work over the next two weeks and you can probably guess, I wont be in touch very well this month.
Please feel free to contact me by whatever means you have to reach me if you want updates, recipes, ideas or motivation...or to motivate me! LOL
Lots of Love!!!
